The Central Colleges of the Philippines Bobcats Pep Squad added another
feather in it's cap by winning 1st Runner-Up Honors (plus a cash prize of
P75,000.00) in the First National Cheerleading Competition held at the
Araneta Coliseum last April 2, 2006. CCP came in a strong second to UP
while besting 3 other schools namely the UPHR (NCAA Champions 2005),
Mapua (NCAA Champions 2004), and Adamson University (UAAP). It was
another flawless performance from the Bobcats as they filled the coliseum
with enough electricity to light up the whole metropolis. The Bobcats
under Head Coach Eng'r. Arnold Villanueva was considered the underdog in
this competition as they were facing teams both from the UAAP & the NCAA.
