A CCP engineering graduate,Patrick Gregory B. Jara, brought honor to his Alma Mater by placing No. 5 in the recently released results of the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examinations given last September 16, 2006.

Engr. Jara was a consistent academic scholar and Dean's lister during his college days. In 2002, he joined the CCP Physics Club Science Prodigy Quiz Bee and emerged as the champion beating all the other contestants, some of whom were senior to him. He became the official representative of the CCP College of Engineering in several quiz shows held outside the campus, most especially those sponsored by the IIEE-Council of Student Chapters. His team always emerged as one of the top winners. He competed in the IIEE Mathematics Wizard in 2004 and placed among the top 5 contestants who came from the different Engineering Schools in the country. He was an active member of the Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers - Society of Electrical Engineering Students - CCP Chapter (IIEE-SEES) and became its President during his last term.
